Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai,has endorsed Senator Uba Sani as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the state’s 2023 election.
A source who spoke to SAHELIAN TIMES said the decision was made by the governor’s “core team.”
Sani is a Senator representing Kaduna Central.
“Uba Sani was chosen as a canditate by consensus, not by El-,” Rufa’i’s imposition,” the source said.
He mentioned that the decision was reached after a lengthy meeting with the aspirants.
“It was also decided that Muhammed Sani Abdullahi, popularly known as Dattijo, would select the form for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District,” he added.
Dattijio was a former Chief of Staff as well as a two-time Commissioner of Budget and Planning.
