Kano State Government has set up a committee to regulate the activities of TitTok users across the state.

The Chairman of the Kano State Film Censorship Board, Ismail Naabba Afakallah, disclosed that the committee would ensure that social media users totally adhere to the codes of decency.

The popular social media platforms, Afakallah alleged have caused breakdown of marriage institutions and led many people astray.

“The board would collaborate with the state Hisbah Board to make sure the rule is enforced,” Afakallah added.

He also narrated how his board had recently invited a well-known platform user and had been successful in persuading her to behave properly.

Additionally, Afakallah urged communities to be vigilant on how their younger ones use the platform.

Over the past few months, there has been major concern about how TitTok users, popularly known as “Tiktokers,” abuse the privilege provided by the platform.

Many people believe that Tiktokers encourage abhorrent behaviours.
