Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante, is set to miss out on the club’s pre-season tour to the USA over Covid-19 rules.

Kante is understood to miss the two-week season preparation trip to the US for failure to meet vaccine requirements set by the US on non-nationals.

Non-US citizens are currently not allowed into the country if not fully vaccinated and the Frenchman, at this time, doesn’t meet the requirements.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for the midfielder as Arteta looks to further bolster his squad.

The 31 year-old currently has just 12 months remaining in his current deal with the blues. Arteta reportedly wants more experienced options in his defensive midfield.

Kante perfectly fits in that category with over 400 professional appearances under his belt. He won consecutive Premier League titles with Leicester and Chelsea, 2016 and 2017, respectively.

N’Golo was instrumental to France’s success in 2018 world cup, in Russia. He was one of the players of the tournament.
With just 12 months left in his contract, Arsenal believe Chelsea will be looking to cash in on him.
