The Managing Director of Kano state Road Traffic Authority, KAROTA, Baffa Babba Dan’Agundi, apologized to tricycle operators over the harsh words he used on them.
Baffa made this appeal today, on Wednesday, in a morning radio program, “barka da hantsi”.
He begged the operators to forgive him because he made the statement while he was angry to show them the power of government.
He added that since his assumption to duty he paid thousand of fines to the operators that cannot afford to pay, he also asked them to go and renew their particulars and pay their tax at designated places.
“I beg you to go and renew your particulars and this will be last time you will be asked to do it, we will never ask you to do it again until its necessary”
Dan’Agundi revealed that he asked the court to stop charging tricycle operators more than 5,000 as fine because they complained about it.
“They should not lock horns with government because its not KAROTA that is collecting the tax rather Kano State Revenue Board”
