Despite the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Kaduna State University (KASU) branch’s rejection of the resumption circular, the university administration insists on the resumption of the academic calendar on Monday, May 9th, 2022.
According to a statement issued by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Adamu Nuhu Bargo, the university said there’s no going back on the resumption date.
SAHELIAN TIMES last week reported the university administration issued a circular stating that full academic activities will begin on May 9, 2022.
The university’s ASUU branch, in a statement signed by its Chairman, Dr Peter Adamu, and Assistant Secretary, Dr Akos Ibrahim, later distanced itself from a purported resumption of normal academic activities at the university the following week.
