Katsina schools to reopen after months of closure due to insecurity

Katsina state government has ordered the reopening of all girls boarding schools in the state in order to allow the students finish their third term from Sunday 28, March 2021.

Also, the government has ordered the reopening of five boarding school for boys in the state.

In another development, girls can also go back to their schools but their parents must make sure that the schools are very close to their houses.

Recall that Katsina state government closed all the schools within the state as a result of incessant attacks by bandits.

Last year, gunmen stormed government secondary School, Kankara and abducted more than 400 students before they were later released them after series of negotiations with government and intermediaries.
