KDSG declares 12th July work-free day for late Barnabas Bala

Monday, July 12, 2021 has been declared a work-free day by the Kaduna State Government in honour of the late former deputy of the state, Barnabas Yusuf Bala (Bantex)

 

This was contained in a statement on Sunday to formally announce the death of the former deputy governor by the Special Adviser to the Governor (Media and Communication), Muyiwa Adekey.

 

“The state government has declared Monday, 12th July, 2021 as a work-free day in honour of his memory and service to the state”, the statement said.

 

An architect by profession, Barnabas Yusuf Bala, who served as Deputy Governor of Kaduna State from May 2015 to May 2019, died in Abuja on Sunday, July 11, 2021.

 

The State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, had sent a personal message of condolence to the family of the deceased, noting that he regarded it as a blessing to have known Bantex and to work with him.

 

The governor acknowledged the former deputy governor’s  commitment to the progress of Kaduna State and prayed God to grant him peaceful repose and to comfort his family in their moment of grief, the statement said.
