Kidnappers free Emir Sanusi’s nephew

Kidnappers have released, Musa Abdullahi, the abducted nephew of Emir Sanusi II, who was kidnapped on Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

Abdullahi, popularly known as Yaya Baba was set free on Sunday, after spending a week in captivity with the abductors.

SahelianTimes gathered that his release followed a series of negotiations between the dethroned emir’s family and the kidnappers.

A source who confirmed the release of Abdullahi, however, refused to disclose the amount paid to the abductors as ransom.

Kano state police command is yet to confirm the development, but a source said, the kidnappers had earlier warned the family against reporting the case to the police

kidnapping has recently become a major concern in Abuja- Kano expressway, with many Nigerians who used to ply the road opting to travel by air.
