Gunmen suspected to be assassins have killed the Chairman of Ardo-Kola Local Government Area of Taraba State, Hon. Salihu Dovo, on Sunday.
A source said that prior to the killing, the gunmen informed an official of the Local Government about their plan.
Relatives of the victim alleged that it is a case of hired assassins.
A source said, “They called an official of the Council to inform him of the killing, telling them to go search for his corpse in the bush.
“Members of the community went into the bush and started looking for his body, it was found not long ago. The body is been taken to town now,” the source said.
Hon. Salihu Dovo was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence in Sabon Gari Jalingo at exactly 1:00am. He was later murdered by his assailants.
