Sagir Hamidu, a former Zamfara State gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 election, was killed by bandits on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
He was killed when the attackers opened fire on motorists near Rijana on the busy expressway around 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The late politician, who was the proprietor of FAMAKS British Schools in Abuja and Kaduna, had vied for governorship on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
