Kogi Gov picks APC’s presidential nomination form

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State paid N100 million on Tuesday for the purchase of forms to run for President under the platform of the All Progressives Congress in 2023.

The Yahaya Bello Presidential Campaign Organisation’s spokesperson, Yemi Kolapo, announced this in a press statement on Tuesday.

Kolapo stated that the governor made the payment on Tuesday morning in order to demonstrate to Nigerians his seriousness in running for the ruling party’s presidential nomination.

She stated that Bello will be at the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja to pick up his form on Wednesday.

It could be recalled that the governor declared his candidacy for president on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Eagle Square, Abuja.
