The Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild suspended all political activities and mobilisation in support of the Kwankwasiyya political movement on Tuesday.
The Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild is a group formed 4 years ago, to promote the ideals of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, and the promotion of the image of its leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In a statement titled stitch in time, the group attributed its decision to what it called the Kwankwasiyya movement leadership’s lax approach to the fate of Abubakar Idris Dadiyata.
Dadiyata was 3 years ago abducted in his residence “for reasons best likened to his relentless support for the movement have cast serious doubt on not only ours but the worthiness of all social media influencers to the Kwankwasiyya leadership.”
According to the statement, ” the Kwankwasiyya Twitter Guild, in the course of its meeting held on Saturday, 9TH April 2022, has unanimously decided, to suspend all of its political activities and mobilization inputs in favor of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and all its candidates.”
“We have witnessed, with quite a level of despair, the events that have shaped the Kwankwasiyya movement in the past weeks.
“The decisions made by the movement’s hierarchy, we believe should have entailed a more widespread consultation across board, considering the magnitude of effects they have on each and every follower of the esteemed movement,” the statement reads.
The Twitter Guilders stated that their persistent lobbying to the leadership of the Kwankwasiyya movement to keep them in the loop and aware of the Kwankwasiyya decision making process; by virtue of being the Kwankwasiyya movement’s most important image maker on Twitter, did not yield positive result.
The group said their next line of action after this suspension shall be dictated by the response or otherwise of the leadership of the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
