Former governor of Kano State and the presidential candidate of the New Nigerian People Party (NNPP) has denied receiving $15,000 from Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for PDP Kano delegates.

Kwankwaso noted that on the 29th of March 2022, he resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and addressed a national press conference to that effect.

” It is therefore ridiculous that a presidential aspirant will entice an opposition party leader with money to woe delegates from his own party.”

In a press statement signed by his aide Ibrahim Adamu, Kwankwaso described the allegation as ” malicious publication deliberately concocted by an online tabloid with sole intention of defaming the good character, personality and reputation of the Distinguished Senator.”

Some media reports on Saturday alleged that the former governor received $15,000 on behalf of each PDP Kano delegate.

Kwankwaso asserted that his team of lawyers  will launch a defarmation suit against the lurid tabloid that concocted the story.
