Less than 24 hours to Kano State Local Government polls, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has insisted that it will not participate in the election.
The Spokesperson of the party, Bashir Aminu, in an interview with Sahelian Times accussed the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC) of playing politics by announcing that the party is going to participate.
“We have officially sent a letter of our withdrawal from the upcoming Local Government election on the 21st December, 2020,” he said.
According to him, the commission had acknowledged the party’s letter of 24th Decemeber 2020, but to its surprise the Chairman denied knowledge of it.
