Liverpool, Benfica agree on €100m deal for Nunez

The 2021-2022 UEFA Champions league runner ups, Liverpool, have reached a verbal agreement with Portuguese Primeira Liga club, Benfica on a deal that will see Liverpool take the Nunez to Anfield. €80m plus €20m on add-ons was agreed after both parties met in Portugal.

The two clubs are now set to complete paperworks to seal the deal for the forward according to Fabrizio.
Darwin Nunez, who also plays for Uruguay at International level, impressed Liverpool’s coaching staff during a Champions league quarter final encounter between the two clubs. As uncertainties loom over Mane and Salah’s futures at Anfield, Liverpool consider it essential to quickly seal the deal for the Uruguayan. And with the player only 22, they believe he will a signing for now and the future.
