The All Progressives Congress (APC) forthcoming national congress is facing another uncertainty after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) posited that the party could only remove its Chairman of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni, and other officers by giving the electoral body 21 days notice.
The independent electoral body in a reply to APC also said it cannot attend the emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of APC scheduled for next week because the party was yet to comply with relevant laws and regulations.
INEC chastised the party for failing to notify it of its NEC meeting without the signatures of Buni and CECPC Secretary Sen. John James Akpanudoedohe.
It then urged APC to follow due process if it wishes to change leadership.
