Kano State Police Command has confirmed that a boy, Mustapha Muhammad, who is living in Kurna Layin Mallam Na Andi, had killed himself.
The command said the deceased lost his life after he locked himself in a house in Masukwani area in Kano and stabbed himself with pieces of glass from the door.
The incident happened on Sunday and the police says he was found with his private part amputated from his body.
His family confirmed that before he died he had psychological problems.
