A 30-year-old man, Muhammad Ibrahim set himself ablaze after he had a quarrel with his father and his siblings, resulting in his death.
The incident happened in Zaria Crescent Jos, Plateau State.
An eye witness, who was conducting his business close to the scene told BBC Hausa that they saw Muhammad with a gallon containing liquid suspected to be inflammable.
Minutes after that, according to him, Ibrahim “was already on fire” and efforts to extinguish the flame were not successful.
Plateau State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Uba Gabriel, however said they were investigating the matter.
