Former Tottenham playmaker, Christian Eriksen has been approached by Manchester United with a contract proposal according to reputable British Journalist, David Ornstein.

Eriksen ,who suffered a cardiac while representing Denmark against Finland at the delayed Euro 2020 tournament, was out of competitive football a long period after the life threatening adversity. The Denmark international made a miraculous return to football in February after signing a short-term contract with Premier league’s Brenford. Eriksen made an instantaneous impact in Brenford which helped them finish 13th in the recently concluded EPL campaign.

The 30-year old player will become a free agent when his contract expires in the end of June. He, however, remains open to new challenges despite Brenford’s keen interest in extending his stay at the club.

Speaking to a Stockholm based online streaming group, Viaplay, Eriksen said: “I have different offers and options, which we are considering, and then make a decision.”

He also expressed his desire to play in the Champions League again, which he later labelled as “not essential”.

“I would love to play Champions League football again. I know how much fun it is, but it isn’t essential for me,” the Denmark international said.

Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie De Jong, has been on top of United’s radar. However United are exploring other options after the Catalans turned down their first bid for the player.
