Many feared dead in communal clash in Kwara State

An uncertain number of people have lost their lives and many injured as a result of age-long boundary dispute between Tsaragi and Kange people in Edu Local Government Area in Kwara State.

The Kwara State Police public relation officer, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the incident that broke in Tsaragi and Kange communities.

The incident happened on Thursday night, according to the report, a school and church have also been set ablaze during the communal clash.

Some residents also confirmed that some people sustained series of injuries during the incident that happened between the two communities.

As of now, a joint team of special detachments of the Nigerian Army and the Police had been deployed to the area to restore peace.

Also, Rafiu Ajakaye, who is the Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor, said security agencies have been deployed and are doing a good job.
