Mobs have killed three bandits and burnt them to ashes, on Christmas eve, at Fadan Karshi in Sanga Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

According to a statement signed by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, some angry locals mobbed the bandits who allegedly attacked a businessman and dispossessed him of money and other valuables.

The bandits were chased and burnt to ashes by the locals in the course of their encounter.

“The bandits were chased and overpowered at Domawa village where three of them met their end in the hands of the mob,” said Aruwan.

However, “The Governor has also made a strong appeal to citizens to continue to make recourse to the law and not resort to jungle justice,” he added.

Also, in the same local government, on Thursday night, armed bandits had opened fire on motorists plying the Aboro-Kafanchan road.

They fired bullets which hit one Richard Sabo who while trying to drive away knocked down one of the bandits to death.

Mr. Sabo who had suffered bullet wounds was later confirmed dead at Gwantu General Hospital.
