National Industrial Court orders Kano Govt to stop salary deductions, make refund

The National industrial Court has ordered the immediate stoppage of salary and pension deductions by the Kano State Government

 

It has also directed the reimbursement of all deducted funds to the affected worker

 

The organised labour in Ksno State had threatened to embark on a three-day warning strike in protest against the deduction from workers salary for the month of March this year by the Ganduje administration, which was carried out in Apri

 

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC)  Deputy National President, Najeem Yasin, has said that the Kano State Government has debunked the rumour that it planned to revert to the N18,000 minimum wag

 

Yasin said that contrary to the rumoured reversing to the old minimum wage, the Kanduge government has expressed determination to respect the agreement of N30,600 signed between the state government and the organized labour in December 2019.

 

“A committee was set up between Government and organized labour to look into all contentious issues as presented by Labour,” he pointed out.  e.l.s..
