The leader of the terror group Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, has urged the new service chiefs to repent while saying that they will not performed better than the recently retired ones.

Shekau said this in a 9 minutes and 56 seconds audio clip published by Humangle, an online newspaper. He said that he has learned about the retirement of the former service chiefs who were since replaced with new ones; and thus urging the new ones embrace Islam.

Also in the audio Shekau called the names of the new service chiefs one by one, boasting that they will never be able neutralize his faction.

Shekau’s last video appearance was last year when he claimed that he was responsible for kidnapping over 300 Kankara schoolboys in Katsina, but the boys had since been rescued through a negotiation midwifed by the governor of Zamfara state.

It will be recalled that President Muhammad Buhari had on Tuesday sacked the former service chiefs replaced them immediately with new ones.
