Newspaper vendors in Abuja have today staged a peaceful protest over the killing of their member by the security men attached to the convoy of the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajamiala. The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday when the security aides of the Speaker fired indiscreetly as a protective measure. The victim who was identified as Ifeanyi, was hit by a stray bullet shot.
Femi Gbajabiamila has confirmed the death of the vendor and has already sent condolences to the family of the deceased.
