The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation Lafiya Dole in Borno state has inflicted heavy casualties on Boko Haram members in the Sambisa forest when its forces invaded their hideout in Alagarno village.
According to Major General John Enenche, the head of Defence Media Operations, the attack was launched at a concealed place under a thick vegetation, which was being used by terrorists to coordinate their nefarious activities.
He said the ATF launched multiple air strikes with Nigerian Air Force fighter jet and used helicopters to engage the target areas of the terrorists, killed many and neutralised them.
Enenche also stressed that the Armed Forces will not relent until all enemies of the Nation are neutralised and normalcy is restored to all troubled zones in the country.
