The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the suspension of its three days industrial actions.
On Thursday, the Nigeria Union of Railway Workers commenced a three-day warning strike over “poor welfare.”
However, the strike was called off on Friday after a meeting between the federal ministry of transport and the management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).
According to a communique announcing the strike’s suspension, among other agreements reached the meeting, it was agreed that a committee would be formed to review railway workers’ working conditions.
Meanwhile, NRC Managing Director Fidet Okhiria told NAN that the Abuja-Kaduna train service would resume at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.
