NSCDC’s official killed in clash with police

Mobile policemen allegedly shot dead personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and injured several others in a clash in Owerri, Imo State. 

Men from Squadron-18 Mobile Police reportedly invaded the NSCDC premises along Okigwe road Owerri, on Monday, April 25th, 22nd requesting the release of one of their men.

The corps refused to release the mobile police man in their custody, which enraged squadron-18 men.

The overly enraged Mopol men went into chaos beating & heavily attacking both the men & facilities at the Corp Premise.

 The State Civil Defence Commandant, Mr. MO Ogar, who came out to address the situation, was also heavily attacked, beaten with his uniform torn, and stripped off.

It was learned that the Mobile Police released their detained men and whisked away the Commandant with them.
