Kano State Police Command has arrested five suspects for their alleged involvement in the murder of a housewife in Kano.
Kano State Commissioner of Police, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, on Monday disclosed the story of the arrest.
He said, “We will make sure sincerely and honestly the right thing is done and the culprits are brought to book.”
Kano State Deputy Governor, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, as well as the state’s Director of DSS, paid their condolences to the victim.
Gawuna said that the state would do everything possible to investigate the murder and bring all of the culprits to justice.
He said that Gov. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje had directed security agencies to initiate an inquiry into the case as soon as possible in order to guarantee justice for the deceased’s family, the good people of Kano, and the country at large.
SAHELIAN TIMES reported how a mother of two, Ruqayya Mustapha, was murdered over the weekend in Kano. Her two children were also seriously injured by thugs whose motive was not clear at the time of filing the report.
