The police in Kano have reportedly arrested Abdullahi Garba Ramat, the chairman of the Ungoggo Local Government, over unlawful possession of arms.
SAHELIAN TIMES gathered that Ramat was arrested alongside the Chairman of Rimin Gado Local Government, Mannir Dahiru Maigari.
At the time of writing this report the two chairmen have been transferred to state police headquaters in Bompai.
