Police arrest woman in connection with twin baby’s abduction in Kano

The police in Kano State have arrested a woman in connection with with abduction of a newborn twin baby at Abdullahi Wase Hospital in Kano.

SAHELIAN TIMES had exclusively broke the news incident which occurred on Tuesday.

The police, however, have confirmed a woman suspected to have a connection with the abduction is now in their custody and investigation is ongoing.

Speaking to our reporter yesterday, the visibly distressed mother said, she and her mother were suspicious of a lady who approached them and expressed admiration at her newborn twins.

“My sister advised that we should change our location as we were left alone with the stranger we cannot trust,” she said.

“We were trying to pack and leave when a pregnant woman approached us and asked if the babies are twins,” the mother said.

“She admired the twin and we prayed that may her pregnant also ended up being twins, she would later reveal to us that she was also carrying twins based on the strength of the ultrasound scan she underwent.

“The woman checked on us twice some minutes to one ( 1) in the morning asking if we have fallen asleep.

She said that they finally fall asleep after one (1) in the morning and upon waking up later they found out one of the twins is gone.
