Barely few hours after concluding the long awaited debate, Kano State Police Command has invited Sheikh Abduljabar Kabara to appear before it on Monday to answer questions on the allegations of defamation of character and life threat against Dr. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan.

A Kano Magistrates Court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Mustapha Sa’ad-Datti, had earlier ordered the state Commissioner of Police to conduct an investigation into the alleged threat to life and defamation of character levelled against Sheikh Abduljabbar Kabara.

This court directives followed hearing of a motion exparte brought by Abdulrahman Nasir, counsel to the plaintiff, Sheikh Abdallah Pakistan.

The respondents in the suit are Kabara and the state police commissioner.

The order, with number KA/CMC14/003/2021, ordered the Commissioner of Police to submit his findings to the court on or before March 27, 2021.

The Police Command Spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Saturday evening told newsmen that the embattled Sheikh was invited to appear before the command on Monday.

The invitation came shortly after Sheikh Abduljabar debated a coalition of Islamic scholars in the state on some contentious hadiths.
