The police in Kano State have arrested 3 persons trying to purchase 50 motorcycles in the state.
SAHELIAN TIMES exclusively gathered that the suspects were apprehended at Wapa Market in Fagge Local Government Area, in possession of unlawful firearms.
In an interview with our reporter, a businessman Jamilu Ali described the suspects as Fulani men.
“You know they are Fulani just by looking at them; they’re trying to purchase 50 Bajaj motorcycles and they paid part of the money a few days ago.
“When they returned today, people saw guns in their luggage and alerted the police,” he explained.
According to him, there was some tension in the market, but business has returned to normal following the arrest of the suspects by police.
The police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa who is out of the state for a conference, did not answer his calls at the time of writing this report.
