The identity of the kidnappers who murdered a 5-year-old girl, Hanifa Abubakar, from Kano, has been uncovered by the police.
The primary suspect, Abdulmalik Muhmammad Tanko, is a 34-year-old teacher and the proprietor of the private school in Kwanar Dakata, Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano, where the deceased was a pupil.
SAHELIAN TIMES discovered that the suspect opened the school in Kwanar Dakata in 2018, and hired a 37-year-old Hashim Isyaku, also known as Babanne, as the school’s security guard.
“Because Hashim lacks formal education, Abdulmalik employed him as a security personnel at the newly opened school,” a source told our reporter.
In response to a question about whether the duo had any criminal records, the source stated that, “You would hardly see them exchanging words with anyone in the community.”
