A couple of people have been reportedly injured during a political rally organized by the Fagge Federal House of Representatives candidate of New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Barrister Muhammad Bello Shehu.
SAHELIAN TIMES gathered the incident that happened last Friday at Kurna-Rijiyar Lemo axis had left many people injured.
According to a source who opted for anonymity, the thugs accompanying the candidate robbed some people of their phones and injured them.
Outraged by the crime, some young people in Kurna took up arms in retaliation.
“The clash turned bloody, leading to injuring many actors and bystanders,” the source confirmed to SAHELIAN TIMES.
Shehu could not be reached for comment at the time of writing this report as he was attending another political rally.
Our reporter was unable to reach the Kano State Police Command’s Spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, at the time of writing this report.
