Presidency’s attention drawn to a critical lapse in its fight against insecurity in the north

Published:

At a town hall meeting held recently in Kaduna, according to a video clip obtained by the Sahelian Times, a state lawmaker, honourable Suleiman Ibrahim Dabo observed that, the less sophisticated weapons being used by bandits to kidnap people, and perpetrate other criminal activities across the north, shouldn’t overwhelm the security personnel to perform so poorly allowing insecurity to deteriorate.

Honourable Suleiman Ibrahim Dabo insinuated that, the security personnel being armed with weapons superior to AK-47 guns, and often given aerial firepower cover on request, were in favourable stead of dealing squarely with the menace.

The lawmaker then implored the presidency through its chief of staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari who graced the occasion, to address firmly the security agencies on his observation so that they would be more creative and bold in the combat.
