President Muhammadu Buhari has submitted to the Senate the name of his Senior Special Assistant on Social Media, Ms Lauretta Onachie, for confirmation as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Ms Laretta is an indigene of Delta State.
Other commissioners whose names were submitted for consideration are: Prof. Kunle Ajayi (Ekiti), and Seidu Ahmed (Jigawa), and Prof. Mohammed Sani (Katsina).
The letter was read by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday.
