President Muhammad recognised Alh Ahmadu Zago as the party chairman of the Kano State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress.
President Buhari has had a close door meeting with Alh. Ahmad Zago, the factional Chairman of Shekarau-led Kano All Progessive Congress (APC).
In an interview with BBC Hausa, the factional Chairman revealed that President Buhari did not inquire about the party’s ongoing crisis in the state.
“He asked me about the position I was elected to, and then he congratulated me,” he explained.
Kano APC is currently enmeshed in a crisis for control of the party structure between a faction loyal to incumbent Governor Ganduje and a group aligned to Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.
