Qatar Airways makes inaugural flight to Kano

Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight has landed at Kano’s Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), Kano as part of its expansion plans for the country.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner arrived at the airport at 11:10 a.m. and was greeted with a ceremonial water shower by officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria’s Aerodrome and Fire Rescue Service (FAAN).

The first flight was welcomed by Sarkin Kano (Emir of Kano), HRH Aminu Ado Bayero, officials of the Kano State Government, Qatar Airways, among others.

Qatar Airways, the country’s national carrier, is launching its first flight to Kano, northwest Nigeria, as part of its expansion plans for the country, it would be followed by Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday.
