Tottenham is set to play their opening game of the season without new signing, Richarlison, following breach of FA rule E3 during Everton’s clash with Chelsea in May, by the player.

Everton sold the 25 year old to Tottenham in a £60m deal few days back.

Richarlison scored a goal for Everton against Chelsea which was vital to Everton’s survival in the relegation battle last season.

The Brazilian threw back fireworks into the stands while celebrating his goal against Tuchel’s side during the game.

The celebration led to probe by English football regulatory body, The FA, for potential breach of rules its rules.

Conclusions of the investigations by The FA disciplinary panel revealed that Richarlison has breached the governing body’s rules and, therefore, handed one-match ban with a fine worth £25,000.

“An independent Regulatory Commission has suspended Richarlison de Andrade for one match and fined him 25,000 following a breach of FA Rule E3 that took place during a premier League game on Sunday 1 May 2022,” a statement from The FA disclosed.

“The Tottenham Hotspur FC forward admitted that his conduct while playing for Everton FC during the 46th minute of this game against Chelsea FC was improper, and his sanction was imposed during subsequent hearing,” The FA added.
