The Nigerian senate has confirmed the appointment of Abdulrasheed Bawa as the substantive chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after screening him for two hours.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on last week nominated Buhari as EFCC chairman and asked the upper legislative chamber to confirm him.
The 40 year old, Bawa was one of the pioneer EFCC cadet officers. He is currently the Lagos zonal head of the anti-graft agency.
