Kano based cleric, Malam Ibrahim Daurawa, has revealed that the slain Kano lady, Ummulkhulthum, had, prior to death, called him on phone seeking for fatwa about her plan to marry her killer, Chinese boyfriend.
Daurawa revealed his phone call encounter with the deceased, where he gave her advice on how to approach the matter of her Ill-fated relationship with Mr. Geng Quandong.
“She contacted me and wanted to know how she could marry a Chinese national despite her parents’ objections,” said Sheikh Daurawa.
“I counselled her that she should not defy her parents on the marriage issue” Daurawa revealed in a widely shared video reviewed by Sahelian Times.
He continued the narrative by mentioning how he advised her to search more about her Chinese boyfriend’s family history and confirm with immigration services whether he has been granted permission to stay in Nigeria.
The cleric also confirmed the story going round that the killer Chinese had converted to Islam as a condition to marry his slain girlfriend. “She confirmed to me before the unfortunate incident that her Chinese boyfriend had converted to Islam.”
Daurawa finally called on the relevant authorities to take action to ensure that the suspect is punished and justice is done to the deceased and her family.
