Senator representing Kano Central, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, has reacted to the recent war of words between former Kano state governor, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and Kano APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas.

In an interview with journalists in Kano, Shekarau, who also governed the state in the past, condemned the actions of the duo.

“Whoever ordered that women should take pestle in 2023 general elections should also ask his wife to lead in the front on elections day,” said Shekarau.

Senator Shekarau also kicked against Abbas’s utterances, saying that, “its not good to instigate your followers that whoever challenges you should be abused or beaten, and guaranteed them nothing will happen for such action. This is silly, and it will not augur well for our people.”

It will be recalled that just recently Senator Kwankwaso had threatened that in 2023 election, his party would not succumb to be rigged again using the inconclusive election mantra.

This statement angered the ruling party APC, whose Chairman Abbas boasted that they would still rig the election in 2023.
