Thousands of Muslim Shi’ites are currently holding a peaceful Protest in Kano, demanding an unconditional release of their leader, Ibrahim Elzakzaky.
The demonstrators, carrying placards with various inscriptions, are marching on the streets in the ancient city, describing the continuous detention of their leader as unlawful and untenable.
SAHELIAN TIMES reporter sighted the protesters along Sabon Titin Mandawari Road, heading towards Emir’s palace.
