Sokoto State Deputy Governor Manir Muhammad Dan Iya, has denied dumping the ruling the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a statement signed by his Director of Press, Aminu Abubakar, the Deputy Governor said he is still a member of the PDP.
“This is untrue and a blatant lie. Hon. Manir Dan’Iya is still a bonafide member of the PDP, to which he affirm his unwavering loyalty and support,” the statement read.
In a viral letter circulating online on Thursday, the Sokoto deputy governor allegedly wrote to his ward chairperson that he has resigned from the PDP.
