South Africa faces second wave of COVID-19 pandemic

South African Minister of Health, Mista Zweli Mkhize, has announced that the country is facing threat of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.

Mr. Mkhize has listed Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Gauteng, and kwaZulu Natal as the regions with the high number of Infected people.

South Africa announced 6,079 new cases on Wednesday, which is a huge jump from what was seen recently.

The new cases were found among the age group of 15 to 19 years, and this happened as a result of “high estimates of youths who patronise alcohol joints, and clubs without taking preventive measeures”, he added.
