TEC Engineering replies Abba Kabir, says kofar Nassarawa bridge can last for 80 years

Former Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Engr. Abba K. Yusuf has sent a letter to TEC, the engineering company that constructed the Kofar Nassarawa Flyover, to conduct a forensic investigation on the Quality and Stability of the bridge from completion to date in view of the allegation of Structural Defects detected on the Flyover bridge by the current administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State.

In a memo signed by Personal Assistant to HE Engr. Abba K. Yusuf, Ibrahim Adam on 16 February 2021, the former commissioner of works, housing and transport in previous administration of Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Abba Kabir Yusuf ask the company to conduct further research on the quality of the flyover.

In response to his letter, the company (TEC) has reinstated its assurance that the bridge was constructed in good quality in accordance with engineering specifications and design, and the structural work was guaranteed for a minimum of 80years at least since the date of completion in 2015.

The company’s engineers and other professional have made their investigation and confirmed that the bridge is still in good condition and no structural defect was defected.

Earlier this month the Kano state commissioner of information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, revealed that they will demolish the Kofar Nassarawa bridge because of structural defect.
