The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) would hold a nationwide protest in reaction to the recent killing of Ms.Deborah Yakubu.

In a statement its General Secretary, Barrister Bade Daramola, the Christian body requested all Church members across the nation to organise a “peaceful protest” in honour of the deceased.

The statement said the protest would be aimed at sensitizing the whole world about the incident.

According to the statement the protest would take place on May 22, 2022 in the afternoon by 3:00 Pm in every sectariat of the association nationwide adding that protest would not involve the streets to avoid violence.

However, there’s fear already that the planned protest can be hijacked by hoodlums to spark further crisis in the country.
