Kano State House of Assembly (KSHA) has denied receiving instructions from the governor to remove the Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCAC), Barr. Muhuyi Rimingado.

Several reports have recently alleged that there’s a plot to remove the Kano anti-corruption boss, as his commission sets to probe contracts executed by Ganduje’s family.

In a clip obtained by this paper, Muhuyi was heard boasting that no government official can intimidate him, and he is not afraid of being removed from office.

A source within the KSHA told SAHELIAN TIMES that the comments Muhuyi made in some radio stations have infuriated the honorable members, and they were surprised that such unguarded comments would come from someone who claimed to be a lawyer.

A source closed to the embattled local anti-corruption boss told our reporter that he believes Muhuyi has been planting stories of his removal to project himself as a victim of the Kano first family’s vindictiveness in order to appeal for public sympathy. He also alluded to the fact that Muhuyi has started counting his days since the time some of his stooges were unceremoniously removed from the control of the commission’s account department and audit was ordered via a circular from the government.

“I believe the story alleging plot of his removal was the making of our Chairman. He wants the public to believe that he would be removed from his position because he’s investigating the first family,” the source said.

However, the source confirmed that there the relationship of Muhuyi and the First Lady, Hafsat Ganduje is soured.

SAHELIAN TIMES has reported about how the embattled Muhuyi, upon sensing his imminent removal, planned an elaborate survival strategy by lobbying for the post of Chief Commissioner of Federal Public Complaints Commission.

This was all in a bid to escape the supposed wrath of the Kano State First Lady.
