The Kano State Commissioners for Local Government Murtala Sule Garo, Budget and Planning, Nura Dankadai, and Rural Development, Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, have tendered their resignation letters to Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
These resignations came just hours after the state government ordered that all political appointees nursing interest in running for elective positions in the upcoming 2023 general elections should resign forthwith within 48 hours.
Garo is believed to have the full backing of Ganduje and his wife Hafsat to seek for Kano APC gubernatorial ticket, while the duo of Kwankwaso and Dankadai will go for House of Representatives in their respective constituencies.
