Thugs have killed a 29-year-old mother with a pestle and injured her two children in Jaen quarter of Kano Municipal Local Government, Kano State.
Fatihu Mustapha, a relative of the deceased, told SAHELIAN TIMES that the event occurred around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Mustapha told our reporter that the properties of the deceased, simply identified as Ruqayyah, had not been stolen or tampered with by the thugs.
He further stated that the late Ruqayyah’s two children are currently undergoing treatment in one of the state’s major hospitals.
“One of the deceased’s two children is less than two years old, but they killed his mother and turned him into an orphan,” he explained.
At the time of writing, the Kano State Police Command spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
Ruqayya was laid to rest in the early hours of Sunday, according to Islamic tradition.
